What this covers
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Max24 also uses local storage for a few preferences. This page describes what we actually use today.
What Max24 uses
We currently use:
- Essential session cookies so signed-in features work, plus a short-lived cookie during two-factor sign-in when that feature is used
- Local storage for theme (light/dark) and for the cookie-preference banner choice
- First-party analytics that store country, device type, and referrer-host aggregates — not an advertising profile
- First-party counts for sponsor placements we serve ourselves (views or clicks)
Categories in the banner
The cookie banner records four categories: essential, preferences, analytics, and advertising. Essential storage is required for the site to work as designed.
We do not currently load third-party advertising-network cookies. The advertising category is there so a preference exists if we add such tools later. Embedded players such as YouTube may still set their own cookies when you use them.
Third-party cookies
If you play an embedded video, the video host may set cookies under its own policy. We do not control those cookies.
Managing cookies
You can use the cookie-settings link in the footer, or your browser controls, to limit cookies. Blocking essential cookies may sign you out or break parts of the site.
